idle air control valve

thanks much for the help, want to try what you suggested but where exactly is that idle valve on the throttle body ...cant seem to locate it??

directly bolted below the throttle body.

part enclosed under box #2.

no. that "red" part that you're talking about would be part #7.
don't listen to 97clpushit. he doesn't even have the same engine.

you can find this part and diagram of it at www.oemacuraparts.com. so, why is it that you're so determined to swap this part out?
