icebox question

What exactly is different from the stock airbox and the icebox? The reason i'm asking is because i opened my stock airbox yesterday and took the filter out and noticed that there was a tube that seemed to draw air from under the vehicle. Did acura try to make the stock airbox work like a CAI and comptech just does a better job?

That tube leads to a resevoir. It doesn't really breathe from the bottom. The tube is actually "Y" shaped. One side is connected to the intake box. That's the one you see. The reservoir is at the bottom. Your engine is getting air from the other side of the "Y."

The Icebox replaces that reservior and "Y" shaped tube with a single tube that will draw air in from the bottom.
