I think my dimmer is broken.

I need some input from you guys. My rearview mirror dosen't seems to do anything. There are no lights to tell me it is working. Are there supposed to be lights or something? I need some infor before I go to the dealer and look stupid.

Yea, the button clicks into two different positions. I just never see a light come on and the mirror does not dim with bright lights behind me. Thanks for the input.
