i don't know if this has amir's clicky-turney experience beat, but it comes close. was tired of my old PIAAs (bad install left them burned - will post pics in seperate thread) and was getting reverse lights as well.
last night i started with the reverses and then went to the road lamps...removed the splash guard and turned the light housing like you're supposed to and started pulling the bulb out...wouldn't fit through the opening and..surprise surprise, it fell off in the road lamp housing.
i'd be lying if i said i didn't break out in a sweat right there...tried for 30+ minutes to fish around in there with string/tape/screwdrivers and finall (what i should have done first) got online and looked at Shawn's instructions on removing the whole housing...had the bulb out in no time. don't feel like any less of a dumbass though.
be careful changing out those bulbs! they're deadly!!

Just pull the housing out, then get a screwdriver and poke it in there breaking the bulb into little pieces. Once it's in little pieces you can just move the lense around a bit until all the broken bulb bits fall out the hole.

haha,
i hope everything goes well with your car...
There is a tool they sell at the hardware store that can remove it. It is a tool that is used to retrieve bolts dropped by mechanics in hard to reach places. It look like a metal wire with a button on top that is used to expand the little grabbing claw. Maybe this might help.

RELAX Amir... This doesn't come close to yours; Your still in the mechanics "Hall of Shame"
Just a word of advice...BEFORE you put these bulbs in, all you have to do is file a p*ssy hair off the inside edge of the hole the bulb goes through and it will never get stuck.
As for the bulb thats in the housing now, just take the housing off the car, and you can grab the bulb with a pair of needlenose pliers, no problem.
