Yes, I agree.
I’ve tried posts like this in the past to try and increase morale around here with limited success.
I love my car and I’m even happier since I’ve customized it to my liking.

Eventually all the haters tend to fade away and the enthusiasts continue on.

My car is great!!!!!!

No rattles, no break problems, maintance has only cost me $14.98 in 12K miles. Also no tranny problems. Only issue has been a bad radio(replaced within 2 days) & some minor door handle noise which some WD-40 fixed.

Best car I have owned so far.

I love mine also. Other than the long body, hard time to fit into tight spots(parking spots ) If I can go back in time, out of IS300, 325ci, A4, I35, a used supra, a used GS300, CLS and CL-P. I would still buy the CL-P over all of them. ALthough I would have gotten the navi.

Dispite my negative comments in the past (something known as VENTING), I still LOVE my Type S, even though she has 51,000 miles and NO PROBLEMS with tranny, a few rattles. I plan to keep it till the engine drops out ! Why, cause it PAID FOR ! All mine !
Nuff said ! :P

Love it...always have since day 1. I've had the normal crap go wrong (rotors, couple rattles, etc.) but they've all been fixed and I've had NO mechanical problems whatsoever....my car is as tight as a bull's ass!!!!

I'm no real "enthusiast" anymore, but my CL-S has been almost perfect so far (4+ months & 6900 miles): No rattles, 20-29 mpg (depending on what I'm doing), great interior design & features. Goes like stink when I want it to, too. My only problem has been a balky fuel filler door.

The only issue that I have with the car can go either way: It's so bland looking (bad) that it's invisible to cops (good).

CL is the best car for the money. I chose it over the IS300 (Which is a hunk of Toyota in a pretty box with a $30k Lexus badge), and a 2000 328Ci (Sweet ride, but couldn't justify the cost, especially with the lack of options and sparse interior). Still have no regrets, Love this car.

That’s not really a fair question.
I think within FINANCIAL limitations, everyone has their OWN car the way they want it.

There are modifications I see here that I don’t like and will never do to my car, and there are others that look GREAT but take away the functionality of the car.
19” Rims are sweet when you’re at the car shows, but they SUCK when trying to dodge potholes on the daily commute to work.
NOS is too risky a mod if you ever want your car to see 100K miles.
A 3+ inch drop will get the looks from the ladies (and jealous guys), but it will also scrape the macadam when you pull out from the bank drive through.
The 6-Speed is great when I’m carving up the country roads, but has its drawbacks when in traffic or on a steep hill.
I love my Blinger wheels, while others will sacrifice good looks for the few extra HP offered by a lighter more simple style.
DVD players and PS2’s are again cool at the shows or impressing the fairer sex, but I don’t covet them.
I have a dedicated “toy room” in my house with all that stuff and I would never consider watching a DVD in my vehicle.

Be happy with what you have or strive to be better. That’s the key.

I love my Acura also. I love it's power, look, and luxury! I've been nothing buy positive about Acura until lately when my tranny died after 11k mi. They put another in and after 15 mi. this one is slipping also. Looks like they are going for the number 3. One thing I can say is the customer service is great at my Acura dealer.

It's true that we got a sweet ride at a good price, they just need to address the tranny issue and all's good with me.

My CL-S has been great. It really has lived up to everything that Acura claims it could do. Sure, I had the rattle in the sunroof and the pulsating brakes, but they were covered under warranty and fixed without questions, and very promptly. It has been a very good ownership experience....Believe me....I recently got my new Ford Ranger back from the shop that I bought 2 weeks ago. It's been in the shop for about a week and a half. The service was a nightmare. Sometimes I think we take for granted how much effort people put into their jobs to give us the kind of service we expect. At least from my experience with Acura. I have come to appreciate my CL so much more since I bought my Ford.

I love my CLS!! I have also had great service from the dealer. The only problem I have had in 33K miles is the warped rotors. Acura fixed them, no questions asked.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. No problems at 22.5K miles in 26 months. Guess it helps to not do eraser starts and redlining only for a few seconds on the Tollway. Feels good to be able to pull away from the ES300 crowd at will. Still like 'er looks and amenities. Will shop for new tires around New Year and that's about it. Will keep her for another 6 years if she will keep me...

Driven's post about Ford service is (unfortunately) accurate. My manager bought a new Explorer a month ago, 2 weeks later one of the hydraulic lifts for the back hatch/gate fell off. She took it back and the dealership couldn't work on it for a week and would not give her a rental car. They charged her $40 a day to rent a Focus...

Now, Chevrolet service. My husband takes his Vette in for regular service and needs a rental car. He gets the 2-door Metro hatchback for the day. Now, driving that will make you appreciate any car!

I will knock on (bowling ball trim) wood that Acura continues to treat me right.

It's unfortunate your manager had to actually rent a car from the dealership. What a bunch of *@#%! At least it wasn't like mine...leaking fuel & transmission oil from the day I bought it! Wait until I get my hands on that survey. I still like my Ranger but the whole experience just wakes you up to how bad things "could be". And after all that, the dealership has the nerve to call me the next day to see how my service experience was. Middlekauff Ford sucks. :thumbsdn:
