What are you going to do for the winter? Unless you have a beater it's not worth it. Sure the Z can be driven in snow with the proper tires... but that's not what it's meant for.

I'd say keep your Acura. If you really really want a Z, take your own advice and buy a low mileage used one. You'll save a couple grand and get the same car. Plus, I have a feeling you won't keep the car past 4 years anyway, so you'll never be out of warranty... so buy a nice used one and save some money. Buying a new car so often is a waste of $$.

Lets be irrational about this.

Shoot first, ask questions later.

I'll be looking forward to the new pics of your car.

But serisouly, do what you wanna do, (buy it). Don't listen to us (buy it), cause we'll only get you in trouble (buy it).

There's some great advice here.

Go find a nice G Coupe 6mt.
One of the reasons I decided to buy a CLS instead of the 350Z. I've had people in the back seat a total of 3 or 4 times in a yeara nad a half. If you can live with a 2 seater, go for it. They'll be times when you'll be in a minivan later in life wishing you had.

That's what the Acura dealer told me too. Where the heck are they

JBean makes a couple of great points. Are you gonna want to drive the Z in the winter. I think that the CLS would compliment a full on sportscar like a Z, Z06, S2000, 911, etc. perfectly.

I think that the CLS is a great everyday car that can be driven in winter (fwd). If you buy a used 350Z, you can save quite a bundle. I've seen touring and track Z's going for $27K on dealers lots (with 9-13K miles).

If you buy and older used sportscar as a summer "weekend warrior", you'll still have the CLS to drive when you need a backseat or just want to cruise in style

Nicky- I refuse to read anymore of your threads.... I will assume you will be considering at least 25 more cars within the next year...but when all is done...you'll keep that CL.

just buy the extended warranty

It's cheaper to keep the car you have, unless you are buying something of lesser value.

It seems you are trying to convince yourself into why you dont like the current ride and why the other one would be better.

Nicky,

You're in the same situation I went thru last year, around this time. I got offered 17K for my 2001 CL-P w/ 36K miles on the clock.... Needless to say I took it and ran.....

I LOVE my Z but, If I had kept my CL:

- I'm paying about $60/month more for the Z but now tacked on another year and a half of payments. If I had the CL I'd probably be looking for a townhome/condo by now.

- Once and awhile I do miss the CL, They still grab my attention when I see one while I'm driving..... Miss all the luxuries, ie. SUNROOF, backseats, trunkspace etc......

OTOH,

- the Z is a VERY fun car and get all types of compliments and "stares" from it.... I'm constantly approached to chit chat 'bout it.

- Believe it or not, I'm paying about $20 less a month on insurance. There a few members on here that lowered their insurance too w/ a Z.

- Great package out the door. Performance, Cosmetics, etc. I have the mod itch too but there's nothing out there performance wise that's worth the money other than FI. If I do anything It's prolly gonna be the wheels and sound system..... Although the stock 18's still look decent to me.

I know the decision is ultimately up to you, but If I were in your shoes:

I'd save for a place...

OR

Get a used G35c, 95% of the fun of a Z but more luxuries......

OR

If you really like the Z, go for an enthusiast model.... You'll save about 2G's and put toward mods, there's a vendor on my350z.com that sells custome leather for $560. Alot of members have gone thru him and his work is A+..... From what I read, the Bose system in the Z is shit. And well, the 17's on teh Enthusiast model aren't too pretty but w/ the money you save you can get some HOT 19's.....

Hope that helps....

I extended mine for 5 years/100k for $1200... Just did it. (lol, had way too many problems to not extend it)

A house is on the top of my priority list. I'm going to get one in the next year. I'm sick of car payments... Plus my CLS is fine for daily driving.

Then I'll look until building my next car (hint hint http://www.premiercobras.com )

Good luck with the Z if you get it nicky!

should and will are two different stories.....better to find a private buyer if you are serious.
