Too bad Ford owns Mazda. It must have "o" rings.

I rather have the Z over the RX8. I think it looks much better. I also don't like the fact that Mazda still uses rotary engines.

Yeah, looks like the S2K from the front and rear...just changed the side by putting 4 doors in (like Saturn)...so this is the marriage of a Honda and a Saturn...hehe.

Rotaries are so much fun to drive. No damn torque but they are so smooth to rev out. That car is destined to be a rattle trap though. With no solid B pillar to anchor the door closing point it will end up being a source for major noises after 30k miles or so. I also can't believe this thing would do well in crash tests. No support in a side impact, and from the front it seems like the top would just buckle.

U see the last pic, the big thick black thing is your B Pillar... once the door is closed it is like your car with a B pillar.

nashua there is no B-pillar. that is simply the frame of each door.

there is nothing keeping the two doors together... a bit scary.

it should at least have something like the 3-series where a steel bar secures the door.

regardless... i love the car... think its hot as hell. like it more then the Z

The engine specs are close also:

RX-8: 250 hp at 8500 rpm and 159 ft-lbs at 7500 rpm

S2K: 240 hp at 8300 rpm and 153 ft-lbs at 7500 rpm

Yeah, it looks like it...but they had to use a rotary engine to do it. S2K still holds the record for cylinder engines.

Actually, I'd still choose the 350Z. I just find this car fugly for some reason.

Looks nice. The rear looks like a S2K. The vents look like they're from the RSX. Seats and guage pod look like the 350z.
