I Was Just Thinking...Driving Lights Or Air Vents
I was just thinking...driving lights or air vents. As you know, the 2003 doesn't have driving lights. Do you think there is some way to remove the panels and fabracate an air vent system to swirl the fresh air in the engine compartment? Maybe one could be made out of those panels. Does anyone know if they come off easily? This might get rid of the hot air and help keep the engine cool. What do you think? Could also look cool if done right!

That's a great idea though. The cavity is just in the area below the bumper, so there wouldn't be any engine cooling benefit. But there is 2 pluses:
1) "Accidentally" have the back, fake grill come in contact with a hacksaw or dremel to allow cold air into the CAI cavity.
2) If you just pull the resonator off your air box, you could manufacture a ram air by piping air from the driver vent to the air box. Of course, you have to make sure the pipe diameter = throttle body diameter or you'll lose HP at the high end.
The beauty of the ram air is you always get fresh air from outside the car, and it's on the front bumper, where there should be a high pressure point. Keep in mind that it takes something like 120+ MPH to generate enough pressure to get any reasonable "boost" per say. But even so, if you're adding some pressure to the intake, you'll make up for the fact that it probably isn't as efficient as a true CAI.
Thanks.... now I have my weekend booked!
Oh yeh... here's a good explaination about ram-air, and how it really doesn't have any great impact on cars:
