can anyone tell me whats wrong with a hi to low converter and what it does? THANKS

 

OK.......I think it goes like this........Factory radios don't have RCA jacks for system expansion, so you run a converter from the speaker leads to get a RCA signal. Our car has an externally amplified system, so there is a RCA signal available, but at the back of the factory radio. I hope that helps a little

 

Let me clarify a bit. Line-level signals are available at the HU and stock Bose amp. However, you need to tap RCA cables to the line out from the head unit. Dont try to look for RCA jacks behind the stock HU
