I just got a great deal on some ballasts and bulbs from a junkyard!

I called a couple of junkyards in my area cuz my ballast was acting up and didnt wanna pay $400 from the dlr. So i just picked up a full passenger headlamp w/ballast and bulb and a passenger headlight , the headlight case itself is busted but the bulbs are all still good and the ballast is good.
so I got:
2 ballasts
2 HID bulbs
2 high beam bulbs
2 blinker bulbs
1 driver headlight case

All for $250

So if anyone needs a driverside headlight (just the case im keeping the ballast and bulbs) lemme know.

I love junkyards where the people working there have no clue!

None of the yards around me have any 2nd gen CLs
mostly just 1st gen, which is understandable

I am actully gonna keep the extra headlight and try to install a strip of LED's across the bottom of it like the audi's have and use it as my daytime running lights.
I know some of u guys might think its ricey but I like it ALOT , looks lovely on the TL's and I cant stop staring at the A5/S5's when they drive by me.
The extra Headlight will be like my practice run so if I mess it up then i can just chuck it but if it comes out like I think it will then I will pull my other headlight and do it to that one also!

I have yet to see it done on a cl, but It looks easy to do!

After doing more research on the TL board I might hold off. The guy that upgrades the headlights has been getting alot of people complaining about there LED's going out.
I was gonna order from the same site he does then cut it down to size (like he did)
But now im gonna try to find a site that sells them 14 inches long, cuz the site he get them from are 19 inches I think and he cuts them , but I think cutting them might be whats making them die.
