I have a Question about radar detector..

I am about to buy a radar detector(ESCORT)..
and I have a question..
If I get it Should I update the detector sometime?
or I dont need to do anything forever..

Thats my question simple...

I don't think Escort does that. Valentine 1 is the only one who will let you return the Detector for an update. Although the escort will be up to date for years, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I have the Escort 8500, and I like it. Never had any problem with it, and it saved my ass many times.

Escort is update-able

Escort will update the 8500. I have one, and it has saved me as well. The update plan is a small $ option on the 8500 model.

i have the escort solo 2....ive had it since 2004 and never been pulled over yet. knock on wood. i also had a cobra and the escort was 10X better.
