I have no heat

When I come to an idle the heat gets to blowing cold air. WHen the rpm's increase over 3000, we get heat.

Thermostat should be OK since temp guage is showing normal.
Any suggestions????

Check your coolant level. Bleed air from the cooling system.

Thought I had this problem about a week ago, but thought maybe it was just my imagination. Of course here in Louisiana we jump at the chance to actually use the heat. haha

Remember that cars will generate heat through the climate control only after a vehicle reaches optimal engine temperature. Usually about a few minutes.

Vacuum leak? Not sure if the CL heater flap is vacuum actuated but if it were a vacuum leak could cause something like this if there were insufficient vacuum at idle. Just guessing here though.

This is exactly what it most likely is. Low coolant level in the radiator or air in the system.

I think the temperature control actuator (?) on my 2001 CL-S is sticking every now and then. Sometimes to get a little more heat, I have to turn up the temp all the way, wait a couple of seconds to feel heat, and then turn it back to where I wanted it. I noticed it now that it is getting colder....
