I got a SCRATCH on my baby!

Ok, guys, after washing my car this week, I saw that i got a Small SCRATCH on the hood. It looks like a small black smudge right on the hood, but if u look at it closely it is a scratch. The funny thing is that it can be seen, but i can't feel the scratch.

The question is, is there any simple way to hide it or repair it inexpensively. I wanna try touch up paint, but that would make a more ugly smudge IMO.

I've had a scratch similar to the one you mentioned on my bumper (couldnt feel the scratch but it was noticable). I brought it to the dealership, they had some sort of rubbing compund that they applied and then buffed with a towel..BOOM! Scratch was gone! I would try something like that before I use any paint.

Small scratches are no problem, go to the auto part store and look for a scratch remover, KIT makes some that is pretty good as well as Eagle One. DO NOT rub too hard. The stuff is like sand paper in a bottle.
As long as the scratch is not deep, which sounds like your scratch, you can use the scratch remover. I use it on my cars all the time.
