I Drove the 2003 SL500 Today

2003 Silver Designo Edition ($9500.00 option package)
the first thing that i noticed was the seats, very suportive and comfortable, lots of adjustments, treatments of brushed aluminum here and there on the dash and door panels, gage package laid out very well, then i lowered the top, i was suprised at how fast it worked, then it was a quick trip around the usual pre-delivery roadtest route, the exhaust has a almost mustang gt rumble that turns into a slight wail as the rpm's increase then the biggest thing i noticed while driving over a set of railroad tracks, - i barely felt them, the chassis is very rigid, but the suspension soaks up any bump with hardly any attention, but retains its stiffness thanks to the abc system through any turns. The brakes are very progressive and powerfull, and still retain a normal feeling even though its a brake-by-wire system

so far i have driven ferrari's, porsche's, corvette's, viper's cadillac's (acura's) lexus', bmw's and lots of regular cars, and this is one awsome package, lots of power, luxury, handling, LOOKS, and right now is my all time favorite.

This is what a luxury sports car should be!

If you have the means i highly reccomend it

i can't wait to see the SL55
