I don't have a CL, but how about a Turbo TL?
What's up guys. If I knew how to post pics I would but the following thread on the TL forum from last night has pics of my car which I should be getting back in the next few days. Enjoy.

I want to thank Steve(Mr.Steve) for hosting the pics. I also would like to think Ram, Steve(Bluecl6), Logan(MtBikr) and Ryan(Speedr73) for answering all the questions I had and trying this previously to make it even easier. You peeps on the Cl forums are a great bunch of guys. Also want to thank Scalbert for the great harness for the emanage and Jorge for selling it to me when he had problems with his car.

Nice work and congratulations that shit's going to be alot of fun. you are going to blow the doors off some unsuspecting fool, are u debadged, cause it would be cool if when they see your ass end after getting blown away they had no idea what the hell kind of acura that was. where did you mount the intercooler? in the trunk? did you install the water injection? turbo'd acura's are the shit.

Intercooler in the trunk? That's kinda weird but the intercooler is a front mounted one. The TL has less space than the CL would up front.

Nice going from an engineering standpoint, but from a practical point I never will understand why sending that much power to the front wheels is a good thing and how you'd want to do that through an Acura 'glass tranny.'

Torque steer is always going to be a problem on any front drive car. I have not yet read a professional review of the current gen TL, for example, without reading about the torque steer issues. Even on my 03 CL-S with the LSD there is torque steer present unless I am driving down the highway and hit the gas. Again, kudos from the engineering perspective but I'd only throw more power into a car if it were RWD or, at the very least, AWD. Still, it is fun to see what people do with their cars.

No torque steer here either.

nice work! btw, you might want to consider larger throttle body (type s should be sufficient) if you havent already. as for the tranny, where do you plan on getting the work done?
wouldnt it cost a similar amount of money to a) upgrade now b) wait for tranny to fail, then get upgraded/rebuilt? Id imagine an upgraded version replaces most of the wear and tear parts in the tranny anyways, and unless you are seeking a higher stall speed tq. converter and firmer shifts, why not just get a tranny cooler and wait it out. Is your car a 99? Those seem to have less failures too.

No need for a larger throttlebody, I already have a type s one
I'm either getting Dr.Evil tranny or one from this shop called IPT(http://www.importperformancetrans.com/) ...just haven't decided yet. I might wait it out, or I might just change. The car isn't daily driven, might have only put like 8k miles on it this year. I really don't know what I will do with it at this point but thanks for the suggestion.

If you dont drive it much, just drive it the way it is. Tranny upgrade will cost about half as much as your entire turbo setup, which is big money.
if you do decide to get it done, make sure to get it from a reliable source with some warranty. you need some insurance that this purchase will live on as its supposed to! i think the deciding factor should be the dyno. if you are under 300whp, you will be fine. good luck to you, and enjoy!
(this should go without saying, but make sure to monitor afr closely under heavy throttle for the first week)

No torques steer, eh? I'm not going to start a flame war but to say you are producing 300 Wheel horsepower and suffer no torque steer is simply impossible. I've driven every type of Acura ever made and all the FWDers have torque steer my friend. Good luck with your project.

The general consensus from all of the 300+whp cars is that if you start straight and nail it, you stay straight. Especially the cars with the HLSD up front. Of course if you accelerate hard out of a turn you're going to get some under steer but other than that torque steer in this car is pretty much non-existent on flat roads.

So if you have it in 'D' and floor it from a dead stop the steering wheel doesn't twitch at all? At what speed/rpm does the turbo kick in? A stock 04, 05, or 06 TL with the stick will twitch if you try that. The auto isn't as bad but the wheel still wiggles a little.
