Nitrous Oxide is illegal. At least in TX, but again so are clear conners and no front plate .

Its illegal b/c "it alters an emision controled car" in VA, it is illegal to have it CONNECTED,not to posess.

 

In LA it is also illegal if it is "connected" or "hooked up" while driving on public streets.

If you can show that the bottle is not connected then you are ok.

I would assume that most states would probably have laws similiar to this.
