I decided on 18x7 Enkei CDR9's with Michelin Pilots

WooHoo, I think I found something I like and will also look good on my Silver CL-P. Enkei CDR9's on special at Discount Tire and I'm going to go for the Michelin Pilot tires 225/45-18. Just out of curiosity, can anyone tell me what the difference would be between
215/45-18 and 225/45-18. I'm planning to order them today so I should have them by next week sometime.

10mms is the difference. The 225's will be 10millimeters (about .33inches) wider than the 215's. This will give your tires a wider contact patch. With that setup, (even if you are lowered) you shouldn't have a problem with rubbing. And rubbing is the major consideration when your going bigger in tire width.

Good Luck

You may want to check the offsets that wheel comes in. I believe Enkeis tend to come in low offsets, maybe too low for a lowered CL without rubbing issues.

I'm geting the Pilots for 251 thru discount tiredirect.com mounted and balanced for free. Kind of Pricey, but tirerack sells them for 249. A local tire shop wants 269 and I would have to pay tax and mounting charges. So all things concidered I think they're a good deal.
