OK, here's mine. It wasn't my CL, but this one is good.
I was doing a valve job on my '68 Vette. I wanted to turn the engine over to put the number one piston up to top dead center so it would be easy to set the timing. The battery was disconnected. In the '68 the battery is behind the driver's seat. I reached over the seat from outside the car to reconnect the battery. Unknown to me there was a screw driver sitting on the starter solenoid. Of course the car was in gear. (this is Darwin Award shit) When I put the lead back on the battery the starter kicked in and the car started moving forward. Well my foot is right in front of the rear wheel. It rolled right up my leg and out the garage until it hit my El Camino. My knee popped like a gun shot.
Here is an x-ray of what my knee looks like now.

Well, if you could see the x-ray you would see my knee is made of titanium and plastic. Except the plastic parts don't show up on the x-ray.
A real bitch trying to go through airport security!

Funny thing is, I don't have my knee anymore, but I still have the '68 Vette. NBP like my '01 CL!

Let me also put this another way to make it sound like good Darwin stuff.
I was involved in a two car accident. I was run over by one of the cars before it hit the other car. There were no other drivers involved and they were both my cars. How dumb it that?
