I am becoming one with the CL-Borg
OK ,
Guys---I am picking up my new baby---This Friday!
2001 Silver/Black CL-S--w navigation/spoiler/mudguards
42 miles...
$27,500...eek:
Thanks so much for all your input...any advice on what maybe the top 3 things are that I should do first? I was planning on taking it on a 70 mile trip...Not sure if this is adviseable or not.....I am soo psyched.

intake, road lamps, and upperstrut tie bar are my suggestions...these mods are prob some of the least expensive "starting" mods to do...after that, now u're talkin headers, springs, sways, RES, etc.
or u could work on interior decorations, such as interior lights, Type S mats, seatbelt pads, wood trim kit, etc...whatever u choose, all of these mods would enhance your experience with your baby...not to mention some bonding but once u start, u'll never stop...it's always about the next mod...i'm the first to admit i got the fever...the "what's the next mod on my baby" fever!!
for me, i've got about $200 in interior decorations lined up to order, while sways, tires, and more Zaino are all for the exterior

70 miles is not a trip, ur fine. Congrat on your new car. 27,500 is a good price, i was offered around that price for a 2001, but i just didnt want a 2001 because when i sell it, it would be 1 year older which means its worth about 1-2k less. Besides the 2001's side mirrors have that black thing and everyone told me the rims stick out too much so cant bring it to a car wash.

OK , when I look under my hood there is a factory strut tower brace.
You guys keep refering to an "upper strut tie bar" , what is that?
Are you refering to what comes with the car or replacing that or something else entirely???
I'm confused!

what "Black " thing are u talking about near the mirror? also i am under the impression that the 2001 CL-S and 2002 CL-s are EXACTLY the same. Am I wrong? Also If I cannot go thru the car wash---I will look into new rims...

difference is simple...the '02 rims have a raised lip on the outer part of the rim so as to protect the rest of the rim, and in addition, the offset is less so the lip can protect the rest of the rim in case of rubbing against a curb.
