Hummer H2 vs Dodge Duelie (head on)

It's not my pic... I didn't add the words, I only posted the pic.
BTW, if you compare the damage, it looks like the Dodge had much less damage. It's impossible to tell the "cabin" damage from that pic, but I would bet that the Dodge made out better there as well.

I guess that picture answers that age-old question:
What happens when an UNSTOPPABLE FORCE meets an IMMOVABLE MASS ???
The Dodge looks “stronger”, but if they were wearing their seatbelts the Hummer passengers might have faired better because the vehicle absorbed more of the impact energy.

This picture doesn't look real...
The vehicles don't look like they truly hit each other. The damage isn't lining up all the way, but it's pretty close.
Additionally, the shadows for the peripherals don't seem to all be going in near the same direction...

I think I see a bit of YELLOW up in the H2’s wheelwell.

I was watching a special on the Hummer, it is designed to do exactly what it did, disintegrate and leave the cabin compartment intact. If the people in the Hummer were wearing seatbelts, they probably walked away untouched. The military hummer (hardtop)is desgined to withstand driving over a landmine by protecting only the cabin compartment. The rest of the truck essentialy absorbs all of the impact and falls apart.

Find beauty in dissonance
"The H2 is based on the GMT820 platform, the very same platform that provides the underpinnings for the Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Avalanche and all of GM’s other full-size trucks."
The H2 is on the 1/2 ton frame? They don't do to well either:
That Dodge is not a 1/2 ton. Is the Dodge 1 ton frame different?

The shadows line up. Looks like the H2 wsa on the left side of the road and the dodge was on the right, unless the pic was sent through a mirror image.
Without getting into the damage issues and the lining of the cars, it still doesn't make sense.
Just my $0.02...

all the shadows come straight back as if the sun was in the middle of the pic. looks to me like the hummer was making a left turn and the dodge nailed it as it pulled into its lane.

Sure, you can say what you want about crumple zones.... but I wonder what caused the windshield to get destroyed on the Hummer? Could it have been the occupants heads?
I still would have rather been in the Dodge. The damage to the Hummer is just too close the the cabin for comfort.

I would guess the H2 passengers thought they were “invincible” and had no need for seatbelts.
It appears they were wrong.
