huge paint chip?!?

ok guys...need your advice here. i was washing the car the other day and as i was washing the door, a huge chip of paint flaked off into my hand. the chip is so deep that you could visibly see some rust. searching about this pretty much told me NOT to use touch up paint...what can i do so that the rust doesn't spread? i talked to one of those paintless car guys and he said that he couldn't do anything for me...and that i might have to get the entire door repainted?!? any suggestions help! BTW...the chip is about the size of a pencil eraser so you can't help but notice it every time you look at it.

I'd hit it with some rust nuetralizer and put some touch up on it. You'll still see it but that should keep it from rusting unless it's rusted from behind.

Sounds like your door may have been damaged and repainted before. Most mobile paint guys won't repaint it because it is probably down to the metal. If you want it done right you're going to have to get the entire door painted. Sorry.
