How's everone likeing these gas prices!!

I dont know about you guys but since I had my CL I love the gas milage it gets, but damn these gas prices have just gone bizurk. I remember filling up on empty for $40 in my area and now the last few fill ups it cost me $50+ per week for 93. How are all you CL enthusiast coping with this crap, I hope some relief is on the way, this has put a hurtin on me from the high insurance I already pay, to my car payment each mnth, the reason I bought the car was for the good gas milage, but now the prices are so high I fill up for the same amount when I owned a SUV crucial!

Eh, not really affecting me too much since my CL-S6 gets about 25mpg combined. It will def hurt when I get my Cobra back on the road though. It gets ~ 16mpg.

Where its really hurting everyone is the cost of diesel. Everything that gets shipped or transported (which is everything, pretty much) is going to go up even more as diesel goes up in price.

I fill up once every other week or so (last filled up 2 Sundays ago and still have a bit over 1/4 tank). Minnesota and Colorado have the lowest fuel prices in the nation so we're around $3.15/gallon.

The ONE good thing about the Midwest...some of the lowest gas prices in the country. We're at I think 3.37 right now, just went up from 3.19. I remember when gas was .79 when I was 6 or 7 (would get there for a week or two a year).

$4.40ish here......just went out and bought a motorcycle. Figured what I spent on a used bike I could basically park the car for the most part and after about two years the bike would be a wash as far as cost.

sounds like you have a problem either that or your nailing that gas pedal to the floor everytime you drive it.... I gased up 2 days ago and gas was $3.67 or higher i think. either way I got raped 50 bucks and I think I filled up 13-14 gallons.

At least we don't have it as bad as other countries. I asked someone who lives in Athens how much gas costs there, he said about 1.2eur/liter which comes to like $7/gallon.

The thing about those places are all their vehicles weigh in a cool ton and get 20kml and things are not as spread out as they are here in the states.

Gas is getting out of hand, I drive 800 miles per week and drop about $500 per month on gas alone, take into account my car payment and insurance. That works out to be a freaking mortgage payment for some people and thats just to get my ass from point A to point B in a 7k dollar car.

Aint life a bitch...

Yeah I hear you. I know the cars there are small, but just wanted to put some things in perspective how much we COULD be paying.

I drive 200-300 miles per week and I think its alot. Must be incredibly tiring to drive 800. Have you considered other means of transportation

I wouldn't mind paying those prices if public transportation was reliable. Here in SoCal, things are so spread out that public transportation is non existent. If we had a better PT system then less people would drive. Plus in order to live in the city you have to make some decent money to pay for the overprice rent or mortgage

What I forgot to mention is that I make $.505 cents per mile through reimbursement from my company. So those 800 miles X $.505 equats to about $450 vs $80 in gas, so I net out about $370 tax free alone per week so thats why the gas prices really haven't hit me as hard. Now by other means, if I were to fly, yes I wouldn't have to drive, but I wouldn't be getting reimbursed the mileage and $370 tax free per week before I even do an hour of work isn't shabby.

In NJ it's about 3.10 for regular as opposed to 3.50 in upstate NY.
Jersey's supposed to hit over $4 this summer though. I'll just have to steal my brother's Prius to get to work this summer
