How to replace rotors with pics

OK... I've searched and found some useful info but not exactly what I'm looking for. Does anyone have detailed instructions from a Haynes or Chiltons on how to remove the front and rear rotors? Also, are new wheel bearing seals a Honda only part?

Thanks in advance

Jim

JS---I just recently did all 4 rotors and the front pads. I can help you with any info you may need on your brakes--I am local to you as well...so--just ask.

The rotors aren't hard. They come off just like any car.
Remove wheels
Remove calipers(2 bolts)
Remove 2 screws that screw into the rotor hub(impact screwdriver helps this)
If they are hard to pull off hit them with a rubber mallet.
The rears are the same, just make sure your parking brake is not on.

Up from GA

I am in MD for now while my fam is still in GA. Need a good shop to replace front pads and rotor, and maybe rear pads. I don't know how to do it my self, and don't tools here to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

That big nut is actually your axle nut. Don't worry, you won't have to deal with that at all.

What Fuzzy said is correct, on how to remove the rotors. If you run into problems with the rotor screws, get a chisel and hammer and use that to loosen them. I've found that a 1/2" wide chisel and a good 5lb hammer always seem to do the trick.

Oh and don't forget to hang the caliper with a bungee cord, coat hanger, etc. DO NOT let it just hang by the brake line!

Have confidence in yourself, it's really not hard at all. Good luck with it

i was just about to do a brake job on my CLS as well, but does anyone know if the rear caliper is one of those ones that has turned while pushing the piston back in?
