How to remove running board at bottom of door?

I am trying to remove the running board on my driver's side so that I can run power wire to my amp. Is there a safe proper way to do this without breaking anything? Do I also have to remove the plastic trim on the side in the backseat to get it in the trunk or is removing the seats all I have to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you're talking about the plastic sill, it just pops off pretty easily. Use a screwdriver under the edge and find the clip points, and gently pry it up. I took mine off to smooth the surface and to glue the aluminum sills on top of them. good luck.

fingers work too, don't want to bend plastic with a screw driver... just pull up the side closest to the door hinge first, the back has a little notch that slides out towards the hinges if I remember correctly
