how do you race an automatic? flooring it makes it peel out? whats the deal on autos? opinion on auto vs. stick?

 

Power brake. I tend to avoid this though...very very bad for the engine. But if its a race you HAVE to win...this is your best bet.

Gently pressing on the gas pedal while keeping your other foot on the brake. When it's time to launch, press hard on the gas as you let off of the brake.

Not a real good thing for your engine (or tranny).

 

oh i c, well i will try and use that for only emergency purposes. i love the drag capabilities of the CL, it's simply awesome. so far my victory list is...my neighbor's 3.0i X5 (on 22" now so prolly even slower), a few random civics n integs, an eclipse, an IS on the freeway, and an acura legend coupe on the freeway (got up to 120mph!! *scary*)
