Sine no one else answered I'll give you the limited knowledge I have.

Depends on the chip. I've seen dynos where they pick up 40 hp at the wheels form a chip.
As far as aftermarket, I've never seen one with anything more then a chip but I would think an air intake and full exhaust (at least) should be available. Go to yahoo and type in Audi TT forum. Go on a forum and talk to the owners.

That's kind of like saying S2000s aren't fast because you can kill a Civic SI.

The 1.8T in a passat is 170hp, and the car weighs as least as much as the TT depending on if it's got 4motion or not.

The TT is the same 1.8T engine tuned to 225 hp.

They're really too different to make a good comparison.

I believe the 225HP TT has K04s vs K03's on the 170HP TT.

you are correct. The KO4 is a much larger turbo, used in stage three APR kits to give golfs and jettas around 290hp and well over 300 ft/lbs of torque to the wheels. Highly tunable.

The KO3 is quite a bit smaller and runs around 8psi stock. The KO3 sport uses larger impellers (from the KO4) to produce more horsepower, and is used in 2002+ MKIV volkswagens.

A 225 TT with a Chip will do low 14's most of the time. If perfect conditions happen it might get real high 13's like 13.9's.
But it seems the average is low 14's.

depends on the chip

GIAC Chip

300HP/336LBFT TQ

APR Chip

263HP/267LBFT TQ

Pretty dramatic differences. The difference here though is that the GIAC runs at 100 Octane fuel and the APR maxes at 93 Octane.

I'll guess-timate it at high 13s to low 14s with GIAC and Mid 14s with APR chip.

I have to step in on this one. The K04 is really not that much larger of a turbo at all. In fact, K04s on the 1.8Ts are really not worth the money IMO. Not enough gain for the money spent. You'd be better off getting PES T-28 or APR Stage III. As for the APR stage III, it uses a Garrett T25/T28 hybrid turbo, not a K04.

To answer the original posters question. A chipped/exhaust 225TT should be capable of high to mid 13s passes depending on fuel/programming. For exmaple, it's common to gain 20-30 from going from 93 octane to 100 octane and programming to take advantage of the 100 oct. fuel. Most of it's in the timing advance...not increased boost.

Garrett also makes pump gas programming. It's probably 10hp more than the APR...not really sure though. The APR on it's 100 octane program will be close to that 300hp mark as well

my mistake i was thinking of hte ATP stage three upgrade and for some reason typed APR. I disagree though that they are not worth the money. With the right chip tuning any bigger turbo can provide healthy gains.

pimpscls: the 3.0 is not good for tuning at all..especially if it's the CVT transmission. the 1.8T (not 1.4) is a dog because the A4 is so heavy, but like all 1.8Ts can be tuned to produce decent numbers.

Well, the 1.8t can go as fast as your pockets will allow. You can run solid 13s if you do a turbo upgrade. Not sure if APR has released their B6 stage III Kit. As for the 3.0....you're pretty much stuck unless you juice or someone comes out with a SC kit for it like PES did for the b5 body 2.8s.

Just a quick note, a few buddies of mine run mid to high 13's with no turbo upgrades, just bolt-ons....
