just curious...if i wanna buy used from let's say about 1.5 years ago, is it really worth buying??

i haven't really tracked the design changes, such as slimmer case, use of L, software upgrades, etc., but i do know that in the year i've been on this site, i've come across the few upgrades mentioned above...thx

 

If you’re looking to buy a used one, just get the serial number from the seller.
You can type it into the V1 website and it will tell you EXACTLY what is inside and what updates are available for that particular unit.

It will also give you the upgrade price so you can decide if it’s worth doing or not.

Mine was a '99 model. I asked V1 techs what's the performance difference between it and the new one. I periodically call to inquire updates. Three different techs said: "RADAR - no major advances. LASER - more sesitivity"

I ordered and received the new one Thurday last week. So far so good. Since it has newer filters, the false positive signals that I use to get seems to alarm much later.

Best of all: It's already SAVED me four times!!

 

Awe scooter just buck up and get the new one That way you have the peace of mind knowing that all is well with the unit. Plus the unit comes in a really cool box
