i was just at lexus today and i was thinkin of trading in my cl-s if they would outright buy it or make me pay little money and get myself into a GS300 or used 400. The guy came back to me after lookin at my car, and told me that a 2001 cl-s with 30thou plus miles was valued at about 18 thou. He then said my buy out was at 22, 200, pretty fucked up that its worth less then what im payin for it in the lease plus the buyout., but then again thats expected. the guy then told me that my cars value was only at 16 and change but he said if he got me the 18 it was worth plus ate 2gs and i ate 2gs, he may be able to make things work. I asked home much would payments be then and he said it would be in the 600s and thats more then i wanted to spend so i said goodday.
I drove the car and it was very sweet, i like the rear wheel drive, but it wasnt as powerful as my car and that was very disappointing. i know it is only 220hp but it was a nice drive. I will get into this in a few months when mycar is closer to its end , and then we wil see.
so in conclusion, i was dissapointed in finding out how little out cars are worth, becasue for a 30 thou car, would only be worth 17 after 2 years.

u know what i hate....I took my '03 CLP back to the dealer to see what i could get to trade up to a CLS, the car has 8,500 miles on it and they wanna give me 23,000 for it....its not even on the kbb website....the '02 models have a trade in value of 23,160 on the kbb site...whats with this?

 

just sell it private party and buy a used gs400 private party.

You do not go out looking at cars without knowing the wholesale of your trade-in and the invoice on the new car you are buying.....

Don't feel bad. Today, I went to Martin Honda in Newark DE. I was looking @ the CRV. I did my home work and knew that the Trade in value with 9600 miles was around 22 K or so, KBB and Edmund. I told the idiot that I love the car. However, I need the room for the family. my 01 CLS is paid off. The CRV EX was MSRP, I knew that too 22,760 with Auto. Even that, I expect that I may have to put a grand from my pocket. The idiot came back after talking to his master and said MSRP for the CRV and 19 K for the ACURA. The car is in a perfect condtion with paper work and Mobil 1.......ect. I had my figure based on good condtion not excellent. Iwas like WAF...they are thiefs. I hate car dealer and the puppuets they put in the parking lots to bother people. f.. it I will keep my car.
