How much is fair for a dyno run

I have been quoted $150 for a dyno setup and 1 run (only 1 run ). Additonal time would be 85$/hr. Is this a fair deal ?

Thanks

75 for 3 here, but the only dyno in town is frequented with camaros and mustangs, so rather then argue for hours while at the dyno must people just dont go, how much is a dyno jet any? my guess is 5 grand, at 50 an hour it pays for it self in less then a year

Way too much... Most are about $50 - $80 for several pulls. There seems to be only two Dynojet listing for NH:

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Martel's Racing
Model 248-Car Dyno
232 South Main St.
Manchester 03102
Tel. 603-622-9747

Wang's Auto Inc.
Model 248-Car Dyno
38 Old Gage Hill Rd. South
Pelham 03076
Tel. 603-635-3252

Not sure where you are in relation to these two, don't know NH at all. But can't be too far away.

Yep! Martel's Racing quoted me 150/pull + $85/hr.

The other guys they are not responding to the phone calls.

The dyno could go from $20k - $40k... not much. So, why the charge too much... I do not know.

maybe you can find another type of dyno, but you wont be able to compare results.

man, you they got you by the balls :-(

If you can't find someone in state and think they have a monopoly -- your screwed. you'll have to pay the piper (or bend over while getting dynoed)

aren't you close to other states go to a map, then go to dynojet, see if you can find a hot bed of car dynos and get the better rate.

you could try this place too. Worcester is not that far.

http://www.nedyno.com/

The other places I saw on www.dynojet.com were on the South Shore and also in Natick. You could also call Mechanics Direct in Lowell and see if they know of anyone.
