How many of you non-S/C'd guys have tranny coolers?
I'm debating on getting a B&M cooler.. i figure w/ the small bump in hp/tq from my current mods (I/H/E) and w/ my aggressive driving style.. i should prolly invest in a tranny cooler,
any thoughts, suggestions?

A-CL Post Whore w/N2O
I put one in my first gen CL (running nitrous). I'd put one in even if I weren't running nitrous!
Cost less than $40 for my Hayden Cooler, and has probably saved my tranny!

the 6th gen accords, as well as your 2nd gen TL/CL's have the tranny failure issue. Its no surprised that part of honda's design change, included an integrated tranny cooler in the 7th gen('03) accords and third gen TL's('04). people found this out when they tried to install those tranny coolers. So, I'd say its a neccecary requirement.

I put one in a month ago, and with a cold engine and tranny I fired it up, put in DRIVE and had my neighbor hold the brake pedal. I checked for leaks and luckily didn't see any. Now with the car running under 60 seconds total time the cooler was too hot to touch!!! I could hardly believe it. Imagine the heat on a summer day with the AC on and sitting in traffic. No wonder they cook themselves to death.

I'm not bothering to put in a tranny cooler until 100k miles if I still have the car. A car shouldn't require us to put in a tranny cooler. It is obvious our trannies fail because of bad parts.

Have had one for over a Year Now
Put it on around 15 K Miles
Tranny went at 30 K
It aint' gona help a Poorly Designed Tranny, but hopefully IF they got this one right, its just "ADDED" insurance

Blown is Best
I've got the B&M 24K GVW coolers in both my 99TL and 03TL-S. It may not save the tranny but it sure improves the shifts and drivability. More consistent and firm.
I definitely recommend.
