how often does the air filter need to be changed?

I forgot about changing that, maybe that's why i've been getting really shitty gas mileage lately

For the first time, from Vegas to San Diego to Orange County, I was able to hit 456 mi on 15.6 gallons. That's freaking awesome.

Everyone here always mentions Chevron techron. What about Gumout?

I changed my oil last week and refilled gas tank right after. I've been seeing tremendous mpg gain so far. Usually Im around 150 miles at the half way mark and never over 160, I was at the 180 mark. Looks like I'm on target for around 340 or more by the 14 gallon mark. I average ~21 mpg for the last 4-5 fill ups since i brought the car. This would put me in the 24s mpg.

The last suppose oil change was like 2months ago at the dealer i brought it at. It wasnt an acura dealer so I dont even know if they used 5w20. They overfilled the oil and used some cheap oil filter. I changed it last week with Castrol Syntec fully synthetic, a Mobil 1 oil filter and a bottle of Pro Blend. I think its the combination of new oil, dino to synthetic, and Pro Blend give me the mpg difference.

i don't know about gumout, never hear anything about it. I usually just use some Outlaw Fuel injector cleaner, Outlaw Fuel System Cleaner, or Lucas.

I usually get around 24 mpg on mostly city traffic with occasional short highway trips. I've gotten 29 mpg before in city, but that was really really taking an easy on the throttle (no floring it or anything just mellow driving) and my normal mpg #'s were achieved driving 50 mph whenever I could or 35 mph when thats not available in the city (keeping the rpms at 1,500 or less) and then on the highway putting the cruise control anywhere from 65-90, and also coasting to red lights (you'd be suprise how much that adds up over time).

~375 or so, mostly highway, until the fuel light comes on, using 93 octane.

WTF, I get 180, if I'm lucky I'll break 200, with half city and half highway. I wonder what the hell could be wrong. My mechanic told me I am running rich just by seeing my exhaust color.

Funny thing is that I get the same exact amoutn per tank on my 04 pilkot with no mods, maybe it's the gas in my city?
