how many miles (average) do u drive your cls monthly?
just wondering... i drive my cls about 100 miles every month ..bought it last aug and now it has 14000 miles on it..how about yours

I think I run about 800-900 miles a month on mine (13500 or so since july 18, 2000).

yes but in convo when you say last august you would be understood as talking about 08/00, If you say this past August or in August that would be implied at 08/01 cause you can't be in August 2002.
Anyhow, I average about 2000 miles a month, I have been driving since 08/99 and have put on a total of approx. 50,000 miles since then.
I got my CL on 07/02/01 and I have 6,900 miles on it so that's about 1,700 miles a month or so.

'this past' and 'last' mean the exact same thing....the one that is closest prior to where you were at.
same thing with future tenses. if today is monday, next wednesday will be 2 days from now, because that is the 'next' one that occurs.
if i said i had my car since last april, would i be meaning april '01 or april '00? it stops making sense the further away you get from the date.
if you say last january, most people would think jan. '01, not '00. so when does the 'rule' start to apply? at 3 months ago? at 6 months ago?
it doesn't. people just use the wrong tenses. if they said 'august LAST YEAR' that owuld make more sense.
but i'm not an english prof., so i don't care if you use incorrect english.
but i'm still confused. his first post said he drives it 100mi "every" month, and had it since aug '00., so wouldn't he have 1400, not 14000 miles as someone stated before?
i have 13k on my car, so about 650mi / month on average since april '00 (there's no confusion here).

I don't have a CLS but, I usually put on about 3500-4000miles per month on the ol' 540i.
80 miles per day to/from work
another 50 per day going to various places
Another 150 per day on the weekends sometimes.

Purchased July 23, 2001. Have right at 12,000 miles on my CL-S.
By the way, 31,000 miles since Jan. of 2001 = 3,100 miles/month, not 4,000 miles/month, for whoever said that.

miles and whizzing sound
I drive 1846 miles every month, give or take, I feel like I drive this baby too much. Lately Ive been hearing a little whizzing sound, its really faint, and it comes and goes, has anyone else experienced that???

2500 miles per month. I just had the 30k maintenance done yesterday, and I've had the car one year.
It really puzzles me that I put so many miles on it. I had a short commute to work (20 mins each way), but have been unemployed since August!
I've taken a few long trips, but I left it in the garage and took my wife's CR-V to the Indy 500 from Boston last year (I needed the extra room - talk about a car having no balls!!)
Driving the CL-S to Chicago from Boston for Thanksgiving, though. I guess I *do* run up a lot of miles, but it doesn't seem like much to me. I've averaged 30k/year for the past 5 years or so. I just like to drive! And the CL-S has been a dream. No problems at all.

On a normal month I's drop about 550 miles/month. I've had the car since 6/28/01 and have approx. 3749 miles on it. I'm a Park N' Ride guy so she doesn't experience the normal wear and tear of a full commute. A couple trips here and there have upped the milage a bit. Hate leaving her in a P&R though.....you never know what granny will pull up next to you.....that's why I park in the WAY back with nobody next to me (missed a few buses that way)

I thought we went through this before...okay, 37K for 10 months....the last month..it has been in the shop...so you can say I average 3700 miles a month.
80 back and forth for work....20-30 in the City....x amount on the weekend.

Had my car for 17 months tomorrow (picked it up May 8, 2000)
and my mileage is at 21100 today so...
21100 / 17 = 1241.1764705882352941176470588235
It has been in for the oil change every 3000 miles, plus the
7500, 15000, and 22500 tune ups have been performed...onto the 30000 tune up
