How many hours to change out 3 parts

Hey everyone, I just sold my 2002 Acura CLS to my fiance and I need to put the factory headers, sways and springs back on it. I talked with a shop today and they told me that they charge by the hour, and that the max it would cost me is $400 to change out the 3 parts. Does anyone know how many hours it would be to change out those 3 parts.

Thanks
Scott

headers shouldn't be such a bad DIY, but I would say roughly in the range of 4-6 hours depending on how good they are at the shop.

Umm, can I ask why it's going back to stock if it's going to your fiance? Seems like eventually it's going to be both of yours soon.

Regardless, none of it is hard to do. Just DIY.

The reason that I am taking it off is becuase she doesnt need any of that on there, and I have an 03 acura cl 6 speed, and I want to sell the items, so I can get my supercharger in a week or two. Plus, the car has ground effects on it, so the front lip is lowered, in which with the springs on, I can see her already hitting something and damaging the front of the car. At this time, she wants to keep the lip. I would do it myself, but the problem is that the car is so low to the ground becuase of the ground effects, that I will need a lift to be able to take them off.

there is no way the car is too low to lift because of CT springs. even with the groud effects. your just not being resourceful. if they can get the lift arms under your sideskirts then you can fit a jack. if you have to you can use a OEM jack to lift it a little then put a reg jack under there. i guess you really just wannt waist some money

400 is cheap ...the headers are worth 100$ to the DIY'er and springs are a pain ...if it were the shocks with springs much easier...those would be worth 200$ to me so are the sways worth 100$? prolly not ,but this is a garage not a friend helping you out

If you get the spring compressor from your local parts store (rent it), springs are not a pain if you follow NiteQwill's DIY. They are really easy.

$400 is a great price for that work. Many places charge that for the springs alone.

400 is a bargain, To swap those parts out, I would say it would be 3 hours min with a lift and the right tools. If you do it yourself for the first time, I would say it will take you easily 7-10 hours with no air tools.
