I got my CL used and it came tinted from whoever owned it before me. Is there any way to figure out how much % tint is on it? My tint looks really dark compared to pretty much all my friends cars, though I haven't ever been stopped for it ever, so I'm assuming it's within the legal amounts.

I checked the tint laws in TX (http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/TX/), and it says it can be up to 25%. I'm going to be going to TN for school though, and their laws say 35% (http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/TN/). If my current tint is 25%...and if theres a noticable difference between 25 and 35, i may have to get it changed =(

yeah, i'd say about 20 all around.....but i dont think you should be worrying about it too much

Check the law in which state you live in. As long as the car is registered in a statethat will allow tint darker, and your car is registered in that same state, you should have not problems. I'm in the Militarty but thats how they do it!!

awesome. only problem though is that most people who eyeballed the tint said mine is more than the legally acceptable amount in TX
i'll take it to a tint shop to see what the percentage of my tint is for sure, hopefully they dont charge me for it, and hopefully it's within the legal limits for TX

If you really want to know how dark the windows are go to the tint shop and ask them to meter it, all it is a meter they put up against the glass, and waaa laaaaa there you go you have the percentage of tint you have!!

I think you should just ask a police office to place his tintmometer against your car to check the %. Of course you may end up with a ticket if he is a dick, but they should have this device tint-checker thing.

Heh that's what I was gonna say. Last time I got a ticket, he took out the tint meter and put it on my window. And proceeded to writing me a ticket...

MinTS, if you have tinted windows, avoid willow grove area as much as possible :p

why would you need that more than once? unless you sold your car, got another one... so maybe twice?
