How fast is too fast?

I was wondering if anybody knows of a way to take the limiter off of the car so it doesn't cut off at 147. thanks

i believe the v'afc lets u do that... but i couldnt justify spending $300 on just that... cuz it seems to have virtually no effect on anything else on our cars

I see no point it doing it. I mean it takes so damn long to get to 148-150mph who really cares if you can get it another 10mph, IT would take FOREVER. I have done 158 in the XJR and that gets there smoothly you don't need as much road to cover. I know when I upgraded the ECU in my alero it raised the governored speed.

HOW FAST IS TOO FAST? Indy car or F1. That is too fast, not saying I wouldn't love to drive one.

Raced a maxima on the NJ turnpike when I first had my car.

Hit the limit but it took like 5 minutes

anything above 110 feels like forever.

And yes, I did win, he chickened out around 120.

I don't think there is such thing as too fast. indy cars are no where near as scary as a dragster doing 0-300mph in 2.5 secs. 5 G's of force at takeoff, 4.5 sec @325 mph down the quarter.
Even though you are going straight that thing wants to jump all over the track. Indy cars get in a pace the only thing you have to worry about really is other cars. My dad raced dragsters(funny cars (shorter cars, only 160in wheel base not 300in)
I would love to race Rally professionally Indy just doesn't excite me. Rally car drivers are some fucking nuts if you have ever watched that on speedvision you know what I mean.

I don't think you'd get too much over 150 b/c or drag. Not only that, but our stock tires aren't rated that high... I actually think they're only rated to 140mph.....

they are actually rated at 147mph, which is where our governor is, otherwise its a liability suit. 3 series bmw's are for the same reason limited to 128 i believe. but regardless, i'd still love to see where my car can go, even if its only once. i know that the couple of times that i've hit the governer, the car was pulling strong... dont forget that our cars make power in the upper rpm's, so when ur going 147mph ur in 4th and the tech is slowly climbing with more and more power, that with the comptech header ponies added should give us enough to at least hit 165 i think... and we do hit 300hp with headers and intake so i think we should have some nice numbers....
