I see no point it doing it. I mean it takes so damn long to get to 148-150mph who really cares if you can get it another 10mph, IT would take FOREVER. I have done 158 in the XJR and that gets there smoothly you don't need as much road to cover. I know when I upgraded the ECU in my alero it raised the governored speed.
Raced a maxima on the NJ turnpike when I first had my car.
Hit the limit but it took like 5 minutes
anything above 110 feels like forever.
And yes, I did win, he chickened out around 120.

I don't think there is such thing as too fast. indy cars are no where near as scary as a dragster doing 0-300mph in 2.5 secs. 5 G's of force at takeoff, 4.5 sec @325 mph down the quarter.
Even though you are going straight that thing wants to jump all over the track. Indy cars get in a pace the only thing you have to worry about really is other cars. My dad raced dragsters(funny cars (shorter cars, only 160in wheel base not 300in)
I would love to race Rally professionally Indy just doesn't excite me. Rally car drivers are some fucking nuts if you have ever watched that on speedvision you know what I mean.
