How fast have you've taken your CL?
I was on 526 east bound towards Charleston tonight and I was coming down the bridge and no cars so I decided to see what the ole' cl-s could do, I got her up to around 150mph and decided to let off cause I was running outta nuts 
! And thats the fastest I've ever been, it took a lil while but she went.
So.... whats the fastest ya'll have been in your cl? and how fast can the cl-s go before the rev limiter kicks in w/ the factory ecu settings?

there are many threads about this. just do a search. fuel cut-out is at 147. the speedo will say 152 but it is really 147 on stock tires. you were at the limit. I took mine to 145

140+ but i got a 1g on 18's.when i pass radar checkpoints my speedo is about +3-4mph. I don't evem visit the 2g that often and i saw a threads on this.....

i dont know... i ran outta numbers on my CL!!! but judging from the spacing inbetween 140mph and where the needle was... id say anywhere in the neighborhood of 150.... (i was going downhill FYI)

i got to 115 in my 1G
i got to 135 in my friend's 2G and it just wouldnt budge above it...not sure why and i just got too scared of being pulled over/crashing so i slowed to set to cruise control at 100

even if he did get pass the fuel cutoff... i still think that he woulda blown his engine long before hitting the 200 mark... and how do u know u were doing 200 anyway? the speedometer dont go that high. are u sure ur not reading Kph?

I wonder how many idiots went out and did this or will go out and do this, due to this thread, just to say they have gone xxxx fast. Who cares. We all know what a CL can do, so who cares if you went 50 or 150, it wont be a surprise, just retarded.

To measure 200mph here's what you do. Obviously find a long straight road. Remove the peg close to the 160mph mark. That is what is stopping you from hitting 200. The needle hits that and stops. PLug back in the speedo harness and go. You will notice, the speedometer needle will just rotate accordingly after it hits 160. I think there's a vid here somewhere of someone hitting the 180 mark, but we are shooting for 200 plus like the guy above me did.

Just so you guys know, it's impossible to hit 200+mph in a CL without the proper mix and brand of turn signal fluid. I believe there's a synthetic available.
