why dont you search guy.......Fast as compared to what? If you are wanting a rice burner or a fast car go with something newer. (ie. g35 or GTO)

0-60 prolly around 6-7 seconds.
For the quarter, you wont break 14 w/out extensive mods costing you well over $2000 bucks. (4,000 for teh supercharger, 7-8+ for the turbo {completely custom}) 1000+ for top of the line headers.

If you are buying the car to go fast.........dont.

you talkin about the integra GSR? Thats only 170hp. CLS is 260. Its heavier though but still.

BTW, GTO is slow for its engine size.

I assume that the top speed is being governed... What's the best way to remove this?

Those specs aren't correct. Those times are too high. Also, the top speed isn't even right.

It's obviously not the fastest car on the market. But with some modding it can be pretty sweet to drive. Are you looking at a 6 speed or auto?

It's actually limited to 149. Only way to really surpass that is to go down hill.

Somebody always has to say it. I always love it when that happens.

For the record, the fastest stock LS2 powered GTO starts at 12.9 seconds in the 1/4 and goes up from there.

Thanks... Like I said, it is always funny because I see that all over the place.

Ehhhh, 14.5 for a nice luxury coupe with a V6 isn't terribly slow. Likewise, the CL is an entertaining car regardless because of the engine and gearing.

Fast is one thing, fun to drive is completely different.

Best,

Dustin

I never thought so. Granted I couldn't afford the cost of an '03 6-speed at the time and had to go the '03 Accord V6 route. But I did drive a CL. Hands down is still a great car. Good looks, performance, comfort.

If the automatics didn't have all the issues, I'd probably be looking for a TLS as a daily driver to the GTO.

Its not limited at 149. I went 153 the other day going uphill. Maybe the limiter is removed with the supercharger.

i know it's not limited to 149 the factory limiter is set at 147 on an auto im not sure if we've ever fully determined if it's the same for the 6mt,however your speedo s reading is not a good source for determining if you were going 147 or 153 depending on the angle you look at it and tire size a 10% variance is with in spec

OK. Well, on the speedometer it said 153. I think everyone here used there speedometer to determine how fast they were going. Unless they got a COP to clock them on Radar.

Fast? Yes, 152 electronically limited I believe...That is in the upper echelon of cars from 2001-2003 on the road. Quick? Well that is relative. Anyone seen the video online of the go kart out-accelerating the C6? The CLS is quicker than many cars, but also not as quick as many.

EDIT: Although some of us may have topped our cars out (or tried), there is usually a 2-3mph discrepancy with most speedometers in relation to actual speed.
