How fast is this car??

Well u guys I have been debating a tet drive with a 2000 maxima to trade my CL in. But before I waste my time I was wondering what a stock 2000 maxima SE ATUO would do 0-60, maybe in the quarter? The only reaso I ask is because I know a lot of you have experience with racing the maximas. Thanks in advance for all the help

P.S. I would buy a CLS but they are way to damn expensive

0-60 in the 7.5-7.8 range, 1/4 mile in the mid to high 15's for an 00 or 01 Max auto.
Now the 02/03's are in the 6's like TLS's to 60 and 1/4 mile in the mid 14's to high 14's like the TLS. Go to Maxima.org and look at time slips and learn more on it.

Max in stock form is way, way faster than your CL. It will be more than enough for you to handle. There are plenty of extras to purchase that increase the handling & performance. I noticed an incredible jump in performance just by adding an HKS intake(plus it sounded awesome!!!). They are great cars, they cruise nicely at 80 mph & are very tight for a large car.

He's got a 2.2 cl...

It's nowhere near as quick as a max. Not to mention the max actually has some torque.

yeah compared to the 2.2, I am sure the max is faster, I just wish I had the cash for a CL-S

Everything in time tiny grasshopper...

Hey, I'm an old man compared to you...it took me awhile to afford this car too.

The max isn't too shabby of a ride for a young sport like you.

I just had a rental car Maxima in San Jose last week. It felt quick (seat of the pants counts for alot remember), and drove pretty well. The interior was pretty nice, but what the hell is up with that huge tuner knob on the stereo?

Before you decide you cannot afford the CL-S, check for a used one.
Either way, you'll do well.
