THis kid at my school has a bmw 840, and he claims that he has beat a newer nsx and audi s4 in his car. could this be true

 

i think the 840 uses the same engine as the 540 V8's so thats around 280hp ... but if it was 850... that a different story...

 

thats a v-12, i think its the same type of engine in the mclaren f1, just not tuned as much

840's are dogs off the line...but highway beasts. Beating the NSX is just flat out BS. A stock S4...possible.

 

not im trying get all these fags to race at my school,theres like 5 M3's no one races them tho,but the true car theres is this kids civic hatch he has b18 engine and he is gettin trubo on it soon,he will race tho,what u htink he can beat with his car.

You should beat it off the line...840's weigh like 4000 lbs. But if you race one moving, say like 40ish, and gun it, YOU WILL LOSE!

Do what I tell all CLS owners, race these off the line, your best bet...you should come out ahead...till you hit 90ish or so.

Yeah AC is right. For some reason the highend number Beemers our dogs off the line. My financial analyst has a 750il and I kill him off the line, HOWEVER, we were playing around on the beltway around 80ish, and when we were WOTing he killed me pretty bad.

I dont think it is any faster, than the CLS. But, it does have a very nice torque curve! It only shines at speed.

 

You should have no problem with an 840 from 0-100, but after that the 840 should walk you. They are designed for high speed cruising, not the stoplight grand prix. I do love the styling of them, and the exclusivity. I'd love an 850!!! But then again, who wouldn't.
