How Does the CL look Best?

In regards to tinting of the tail lights. Specifically 01'. More specifically a SSM. What is the cl's community's opinion?

No tint?

Light smoke?

Ex:

Dark?

Ex:

Half?

Ex:

Also, is my idea to tint the outside of the headlight in hopes of reducing the amber inside stupid? Reason would be because im too scared to mess with the headlights. Like such.

Your opinions, I want them.

For SSM...03 Heads & Tails are the best IMO.

For the tails I like how mine are done.

With a very light tint ONLY on the upper clear portion of the tail light.

For the headlights...take out the ambers, smoke them and replace.

If not...find somebody local who knows how to open and re-seal headlights the right way.

Tints FTL. The only tint i've really been into were the really subtle ones that o2cls has strategically placed on his lights.

I bought them from TimeForSleep already tinted.

He told me that his friend sourced the tint and apparently you can't get it that specific tint any longer...

But I love it....because it's subtle.

what do you guys suggest for tinting the tails? I have a 01 also and i just want them lightly tinted, not completely blacked out.

rockblocker? or will the ebay stuff (made to fit CL lights) be ok? i was also contemplating on just buying some bulk tailight tint from ebay and cutting it myself. any suggestions for me and OP?

i would say, try the ebay stuff out, see if u like it. it works, its just thin and will bubble up after time. my silver had the ebay tint, came out clean, just easy to scratch and it soon started to bubble up in some places, small bubbles. overall it worked

spray stuff is even harder to put on and almost permanent. if you mess up, its pretty hard to undo it, you have to apply it evenly across the whole surface. plus it comes out flat black.
tint is much easier to put on, remove and looks better.

wrong info. i have vht night shade on my tl-s. hardest part is making sure that the light is clean and degreased. then start spaying the light about 8in away. light coats. about 10min dry time between each coat. to get the shiny gloss just clear coat it twice and your set.

to remove it, get some paint thinner. and start wiping away at it.

imo I would lightly tint the tip...VERY lightly...other than that I feel that the clear/red combo looks great just the way it is on AM

my fault. this is just the general assumption, so i was just posting that.

onese1f: you know, i might just f*** the po-po. ill get the light smoke that i planned to get and hope that the cops wont get me. if they do, ill offer trimming out the reflector part lol
