How do you use the VSA?

If you didn't have VSA, then if the car starts skidding, tne you are supposed to steer in the direction of the skid.

But with VSA on, I think you are supposed to just point the wheels in the direction you want to go in, and wait for the VSA to kick in?

Its like ABS. Drive normally and let the computer fix your mistakes. If you both try to fix things at the same time you'll get in trouble.

This might be a little O/T.. but a few months ago, my wife and I were heading home down 441, in the left lane when some asswipe pulling out from the right decides he needs to do a 3-lane change into my car... I nailed the break, and went off-roading (at 45-50 Mph mind you) and pulled the typical over-correcting-from-offroad thing and found myself at a 45-degree angle to the right lane, heading for the ditch / trees / death. Well, I (as gradually as I could) turned the wheel to correct, and the CLS went where I pointed it - straight in the right lane. I had people passing me cheering and shit.

Needless to say, when that happens to most people without VSA, they end up spinning or in the trees / death.
And oh, BTW - the VSA light may have had a chance to come on but I wouldn't have noticed it.
