How do you remove...................?

The front grill chrome parts? The stripping and Acura symbol? I want to get rid of the bling-bling, but taking it off is being a PITA.

Thanks guys.

Lift hood...undo pastics nuts...release the two plastic snaps and pull off.

Then unscrew the Bling...

How are you de-chroming the plastic trim?

My CL is black and I'd love to take off the chrome trim from around the windows to give a more monotone appearance. I've seen some cover the stuff in vinyl but that's a little too ghetto of a fix for me.

I have heard that if you remove the trim from the windows, it is almost impossible to remove without bending or flexing it. I think youd have to remove it then get new trim, paint it black, and then install it. If i could remove it and put it back on with no problem i would have done it now, but i am skeptical. I already dechromed the front grille and back A. Wanna do the window trim also, but dont wanna have more too worry about.

I will post pics off course as soon as i get my stupid MMC reader to work.

As for the chrome, just black plastic. if you get deep enough.

I wet sanded with 400 grit sand paper.
Then 600 grit.
Washed with soap and water.
Dried.
Cleaned with alcohol
Dry of any leftover dust
Applied 3 coats of grey primer
Dry
3 Coats of Flat Black
Dry
2 Coats of Clear Coat
Dry
1 Final coat of clear coat

As of right now, I'm letting it dry for about 48 hours before I touch it. The clear coat really needs to cure.

All coats of primer, paint, and clear coat are done in very thin successions to avoid "thickness." (no, not your woman!)

Oh, I'm sorry, I read that over. No, I'm not doing the window stripping YET. But I will get to it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
