1. You hold the garage door opener about 2 inches away from the transmitter.
2. Press the door opener button and the button you want to "train" at the same time and hold them.
3. The red light on the homelink transmitter will first flash slowly, then it will flash rapidly. This takes a few seconds. When it starts flashing rapidly, you can release the buttons, and it should be "trained".

Dont' forget, if you have a "rolling code" type opener, once your car "learns" the remote you have to "teach" this new signal to your opener following the proper directions.

There is usually a "learn" type button on the motor.
