How do your guys know what is the production date of your 2001 CL or CL type S? Can we ask the dealer to get a recent producted car instead the one manufactured in the early 2000. Thanks a lot.

Look in the driver’s side doorjamb for the month and year of production.

If you are willing to wait a few weeks, they should be able to get a new one off the truck in the color combo you want.

I bought mine in June 2000 (5/00 build date) and paid 32,250 including delivery but not taxes.
That may sound kind of high, but I had to special order it in April for the color combo I wanted and I got a lot of extras.

I got:
NAV, Spoiler, Gold Emblems, Gold inner grill, Gold outer grill, sunroof visor, splashguards, wood dash trim & wheel locks.
I think that’s everything.

Yeah my dealer had a red CL-S on the lot that had been sitting in the snow for 2 months & although I wanted Red, I didn't particularly want that one. Plus it had a few more miles than one just off the truck, so it had probably been test driven. And we ALL know how people test drive new cars!!

Fortunately, the dealer had a red one due to arrive in 7 - 10 days. I waited & picked it up the day that it got off the truck! Too picky ? Maybe, but it is(was) my $. LOVE THIS CAR!!
