How cold should engine be -Changing plugs

You're doing a simple plug change. Stock double platinums. Do you insist the car sat all night thus you are guaranteed of doing the plugs on a completely cooled engine, no question.

Or if after having driven and the car sits, oh say 2 hours is that good enough.
Lets say the car was just driven 50 miles.

Sit all night a must or no, after driving just let it sit for a couple or ___ hours?

I had a very hard time with a cold engine, I felt like I was stripping them out they were so tight. So I let it warm up just five minutes, no lie they came right out.
