How to break-in during a long distance drive?

Hi All,

Well, I have that lovely Park Avenue meet to go to tomorrow, and I'm bringin' the New CLS.

Now I'm still breaking in, and I live about 60 miles away or so. What's the best way (car wise) to handle long highway driving?

Do I need to keep varying the speed say, between 45 and 75?
If so, should I stay in 3rd gear so that the rpms vary more? Seems like staying in 5th won't accomplish much since the rpms don't change much.
Seems like if I do that, I might as well just stay at 75 mph, but shift gears every minute to keep the rpms varied.

What do y'all think?

Just don't cruise at a steady speed, just speed up, slow down, speed up slow down.
