I think the Porsche BS would win (Yeah BS.. cause the B is the lowest-grade Porsche... Only 911s are the real deal!!) is some 5.6s to 60. and 14 flat at 100+ MPH... It in the same league as the new 350Z!

I have a 02 CL-s and raced a friend of mine in his Boxster...not S and lost by about 7-8 car lengths. We raced 3 times with the same results...no matter what the method of shifting was(Gate, Sport or just D5) I would think that the S model would give more of a beating.

I raced a Porsche Boxster (Not a S) on the highway awhile back and had no problem leaving him in the dust. Not sure if he was giving it his all but he sure could of fooled me considering we were weaving out of traffic chasing each other for over a 100 miles

It's quite funny how at your age you still allow your @$$ to dictate what you type.

I would like to know how you did against a Boxster when you were running stock? Enlighten us with your outcome.

how is it you would know my age ?34 BTW and i can say i never raced a boxter when stock as i spent very little time in stock form...however i am fully aware of how fast a stock cl type S is and it's faster than a boxter (non S) certainly not 7 cars slower...let me guess you leave it in drive VSA on ..stomp on it ...VSA kicks in shuts you down ,by which time your stuck in second and going nowhere fast? am i close?

look dude dont take everything so seriously....

No chance.

If it's a 2001 Boxster S the specs are ~2855lbs and 250hp.

A 2003 Boxster S has 258hp and weights ~2911 lbs (and runs 14.1's in the 1/4, 0-60mph in 5.6 sec).

The CLS has 260 HP and weights 3400lbs.

The 986 S weighs 500lbs lighter then the CLS.

You do the math

YOu should not lose to a Porsche Boxster Non S in your auto CLS unless you stomp on your brakes. The Boxster runs above 6.3 sec from 0-60 MPH and the Boxster S will run 5.5 to 5.8 sec depending on the transmission. If you have stock 03 6 spd it should be a good race , but you will lose by one or two car length. If you have headers and cold intake you should be able to compete in a decent manner and lose by half a car length. Our problem is the weight of the car.
