How about 145-MPH??
I decided to test what is the top speed of my Acura CL Type S. I pushed all the way to 145-MPH. It had 3400 RPM I easily could of go more then that, but when I Reached 145-mph my RPM jumped all the way to 6000 and the car started to slow down. It was best experience I had and please don't test on yourself it is very dangerous. Believe me that your car could hit 145-MPH. I assure you.

I don't want to get in too much trouble, but there are pictures of Astroboy doing 150+ MPH indicated (which according to AAA speedo tests) would agree with the 147 max governed speed. (We have a speed limiter, and our speedo reads higher than the actual speed.)
I also have had no trouble getting going very fast...

Dude, if you want to go 145mph....thats cool.
But with all of the accidents that have been posted here recently where passengers die, why would you risk thier lives. I have gone just over 145mph, but i was alone in the car.

If you could safely stand by the roadside and watch a CL going 145mph flying by on the freeway....you would be disgusted. ![](http://www.acura-cl.com/ubb/frown.gif)

I also did 145 mph in my stock 99 TL and still pulling. I was the only person in the car and it was really early in the morning like 3 a.m. so there were no other cars around.
BTW, I do not recommend going at this speed. Everything was a blur.
