hot tank?

hey everyone,

just picked up some used comptech headers from a member here and some parts of it are a bit dirty/rusty. just the parts that connect to the engine block. I was just wondering if i should just take it to a machine shop and get it hot tanked? or if there is an easier way of doing it (besides a wire brush and WD40 haha). Ive never dealt with hot tanking anything im not sure how it would work. any other ideas before i get them cleaned? or anything else i could do wiht them at a machine shop?

Best way to clean headers is sandblasting. Leaves a nice clean surface ready to paint or plate.

Save hot tanking for things that are greasy or oily like engine blocks and such.

It would be a waste as they'll just get dirty again shortly after you install them. I would just wipe them clean.
