Horsepower Limitation?

I've got 2 questions. Both apply to 3.2CL TYPE S Automatic transmission only.

Questions:

1) Who in these forums has the most dyno'ed horsepower on their ride with above mentioned specs and what's the horsepower?

2) What is the maximum horsepower an automatic tranny type s can have with any availble mod, without engine swap or NOS and anything else?

Bring it.

For the 3.2 CL-S auto Ima guess with all the bolt ons you'll only get about 230-250 hp around there.
And the tranny will go out on you depending on your luck.

If your asking at what point the tranny can hold the HP mods without blowing up.....The answer is not conclusive. There are some auto's pushing 300WHP.
So far there has been no direct link between HP & auto trannys dieing. If it's going to go, it's going to go.

Even the lowly CLP w/ 225hp has experienced transmission failures, so hp doesn't seem to be connected...

You can put all the power through the trans you want, its a question of how long it will hold up. If stock units fail with no mods, obviously running more HP through it will only shorten its life.
